Celebi ground handling, established in 1958 as Turkey’s first privately-owned ground handling services company, has placed its first order for Colibri Energy’s Lithium based high performance batteries and fast charging infrastructure.
The new battery system will be installed in the existing Charlatte baggage tractor fleet and will replace the current lead acid batteries used. “Eliminating lead acid systems, with their toxic gases, acid and short-lifetime makes not only ecological sense”, Colibri CEO Helmuth von Grolman says, “The Power Traction system is lithium based, requires no maintenance can be charged at any time in up to two hours and delivers better performance than the alternatives. It reduces damages and saves infrastructure costs”
Colibri Energy will also deliver the indoor and outdoor charging infrastructure that will be installed at the airport.
